I am… a catcher.

Babies are falling from heaven
Like meteors

I zip around
Like the Flash
Collecting them in batches
Then delivering them to hospitals

It is terrifying
And exhilarating
At the same time

I look to My Father.

I realize
The babies are not dropping at random
He is throwing them to me
Like a Father
Playing catch
With His son

He knows where I am
He knows how much I can handle

He is not afraid
Of what happens if I fail

The rain stops.

I am sad
But relieved

I walk slowly to the hospital

The babies will need parents
They don’t really need me
But part of me
Still needs them

My Father
Needs me to need them

Why?
